Today's weather
Frosty this morning, mild sunny day
Today's birds
Morning in Bright
- saw a new family of ducklings on Morses Creek - Mum and Dad and three littles. On the way out we saw a duck suspiciously 'wide' sitting under one of the trees. On the way back the little family was out wandering.
- Swallows basking on the bridge railings, didn't see any littles
- No bronzewings this morning, though they have been around the past couple of days
At home
- Friar birds in the garden AGAIN in numbers.
- Wattlebird on the lemon tree drinking from the flowers. Then on the kangaroo paws which bent a looooong way.
- Magpie juvies still following adults around
- Pair of wagtails around a lot again today
- Huge flock of black cockatoos flew over the house, calling. All in threes and fours.
Other notes
- The big gum has already been removed from the river. Lots of sawn pieces on the playground. The whole area is still a huge mess though.
- We mowed today. The tomatoes that are still in small pots are a problem - starting to outgrow them and the garlic is not ready to come out yet. I counted and we have 41 heads of garlic coming on :D
